Im looking into buying a S&W 5926 with a square trigger guard from a local gun shop for $350. The gun's finish is almost brand new and hardly has any marks on it. It's been kind of hard to find info on this model so I figured I'd ask here. Any comments on them?

The Model 5926 is a semi-auto, double action, 9mm Para with a 14 shot magazine. It has a 4" barrel and is 7 1/2" overall. Weight is 30oz. It is stainless steel construction with a frame mounted decocker and a Novak rear sight. The grip is a wrap-around Xenoy.

In my opinion, the 5926 is a good shooting gun with a smooth trigger. If your are familiar with the SIG 226, it works the same. When you decock the 5926 it goes to half cock and the trigger pull becomes lighter and shorter.

Nice. Thanks for the info! I have a Sig 228 and love it. Sounds like I'll be heading up tomorrow to get it. Just hope it is still there. Is $350 it a good price?

In my area of the country, $350 for this gun in very good condition seems about right. I have seen 5926's on ActionArms selling for over $450.
