If you had a choice and could only have one, which would you choose, and why?

3" SP101's in .357 are fairly common and still catalogued by Ruger. A pre-lock 629 3" is an entirely different story. If you can only afford one and don't have a "need" for a small revolver like the SP101 get the 629.

Your build and anicipated use may just have a bearing on this, as well as ammo prices.

If you want to fire a snub .44 Magnum, thou art a better man than I, Gunga Din!

I want a M-629, but it'll have a six-inch barrel. My SP-101 with a barrel a hair over three inches is a great small outdoors and defense gun.

Get the 44!

Could you really live without one of these?

Medium power 44 is the equal of 45acp and they shoot magnum and low power equally well.
