Hi all,
new to the forum here, from Italy.

Can't find answer anywhere, so I'm trying here.

I recently bought a 686 Competitor in .357, but the guy who sold it to me lost the rod and the weights that go under the barrel.

At the moment distributors here have major difficulties with SW spare parts, and so I was, with a friend, trying to machine new weights, but we need to know the specs of the rod (the long screw that holds the weights).

Is that a 1-4/20 UNC screw ? 1/4- 28 ?

An European M6 screw enters, turns for a little bit, then stops.

Thanks in advance.

Hi tatase,

I have a 686 Competitor and a caliper at hand, so I can help you with your question.

Yes, the screw is 1/4-20, or a quarter of an inch in diameter and 20 threads per inch. It is 2.86 inches in height.

Let me know if you need any other dimensions.

Ciao,
686PC
