Just picked up my S&W 940. Received a great deal on it from outdoorsdad! It shipped with the Uncle Mike’s. It is also pictured with a set of Pachmayr Compacs, a set of Sile combat grips, and a set of Pachmayr full length grips. Not pictured is a new set of Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips. I have to remove the grip pin to install those. Maybe I will put them on later and update. Really figured I would keep the Compac Pro grips but the Hogue grips felt better than I remembered. If recoil is too much with the Hogues, the Compac Pro grips are the second choice.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

After trying all of the grips again, I decided to go with the set that is disproportional to the size of the revolver but fits and feels best in my hands.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

I like the longer smooth wood grips on my 638. Mine are a set of Thai grips a little trimmer but the same length as the Hogues. Enough purchase to shoot it well and the smooth wood isn’t “sticky” and doesn’t catch in a pocket or on clothing if worn in a belt holster.
