Cool S&W aside, methinks he's still up the creek without a paddle. His reloading time should be on the slow side, unless he has one of those "cheaply made revolvers that are nice to look at" as a New York (or El Paso?) reload.

Looks more like a new model 3 to me.Top break..but the backstrap and grip are wrong for a Schofield.(to my view..) I'd trust my life to a 6 pack of .44 S&Ws..
