I love this forum. I am learning a lot from the experts out there. I do appreciate it. I wish I knew how to post pictures.
My latest is a S&W Brazilian. Serial 193xxx. It's a basic Brazi 45 cal with 5 1/2 inch barrel. Brazilian crest is on right side. Grips are diamond with silver S&W logo. It's run of the mill for blue Probably 60 to 70%. The barrel and cylinder are cherry.
It shoots where I point it. I load 4 grains of red Dot behind a 225 gr. Round nose lead alloy bullet in my 45 auto rim cases

It's an import but someone before me tapped the name with a center punch. All that can be read is "CA" My question is.. what is the actual value of this revolver. Fjestad's blue book has it priced way over the top. I gave $300.00 for it back about ten years ago.

Looked at a pair yesterday (no price discussed) with serial # 1638xx & 1669xx. Got out my SCSW 3rd today and see that 16974x is about the earliest reported. Would this affect their value over and above the recent $350 to $550 values I've seen?

Have really enjoyed a Brazilian I got from a friend a few months back.
It was pretty rough, had been parked, but mechanically very good.

Did a little fix up on her and had a local saddlemaker cobble up a holster for her. Great woods carry gun.
