I'd buy too. 10XX series was the best. Accurate as heck, reliable and built like a brick sit house.

If of the same or better quality as the original, and if it did not have an ILS, I would buy one.

One of the best guns I own is my 1076. The only bad thing I can say about it is the magazine safety - everything else is great.

Accurate, dependable and plenty of power, and the solid steel construction makes it heavy enough that you don't get a big kick!

I'm with you, Panama Jack!

My Smith 1026 and 1076 are my two favorite pistols and they currently share my carry gun duties. In warm weather, I carry the 1076 in an IWB holster. In cold weather or when I'm otherwise wearing a jacket, I carry the 1026 in a Simply Rugged pancake belt holster.
