Yes just as S&W revolvers has classic revolvers. We need a line of classic autos that would include 9mm , 40 s&w , 10mm and 45 auto.

What I would really like to see is S&W manufacture the Mod.39-2 again. No changes,or upgrades, just put out exactly as it was made in the past.
It holds a place in my heart(and I have one in a holster, too):)

As a fact , I gave my son a model 39-2. This would also be a classic auto to add to the line.

As much as I like the 3rd gen S&W 10mm series, they are already "CLASSICS"! However they could produce the models that they did not make...1016, 1036, with the 3 1/2" barrels. It would be great to have the Performance Center produce the 1096 as a boxed set 6" slide model with barrels chambered for 10mm, 40S&W, 357Sig and 9x25Dillon. I have the Bar-Sto "Match Grade" 40S&W and 9X25Dillon conversion barrels I hand fitted to my 1006 providing a flexible performance enhancement form this platform. Bad_Man_One of the forum here is doing his best to produce some barrels to meet many of the forum members expectations to other cartridges for the 10xx series platform.

All the while I would have liked to see S&W produce the M&P 10mm. Had Smith & Wesson produced the M&P 10mm's, they would have sold way more than the 610's & 310"s combined. The internal locks were a down fall with these in my opinion.
