Bought what appears to be a unused model w/o a box and missing the pocket clip for $5 OTD in a pawn shop. It's a beauty and was just wondering if it has any collector value. I don't want to accidently take a rare collectable and make it an everyday carry knife by mistake.

It is a hollow stock thumb assist folder Ser # CH0018, and appears US made because it is not stamped with a country of origin such as China like several I have seen. It is all black and has a Zytel body.

I'm not a knife expert, but I know they still make the Cuttin Horse, and in several different sizes and styles because I recently bought a new one for my daughter.

Great, I just wanted a good carry knife and not some collector knife. I loose a lot of pocket knife's, even my grandfathers old knife. So needless to say, I do not buy ANY knife that cost more then $25 or so and end up mostly buying used knife's at pawn shops.

Use it and enjoy, you got a great buy. Not all of the knives made in China are so marked even though strictly speaking they should be.
