I'm getting pretty interested in a 1911 based pistol, but since I'm currently sort of "9mm invested" in others and reload all the time for that caliber I've decided I want to stay with it rather than go to the .45. The E-series seems to sound like a pretty good design improvement from what I've researched to date but I've seen nothing on the 9mm yet.

Any thoughts or rumors on this?

The other model I've looked at on their web site is the Pro Series SKU# 178047. That looks like I might consider it, although it still has the trigger safety feature that I understand has been removed in the E-series. I'm very particular with trigger pull and this is a concern to me. The other concern on this model is there seems to be none available anywhere I've looked so far. Any thoughts this model would be superior to the E-series if they offer that in 9mm?

I'm really a novice on the 1911 these days, although I bought one through the DCM govt. surplus for $15 many, many years ago ;-) But, it's long gone now....

Its my understanding the firing pin safety is activated by the grip safety not the trigger, I could be wrong.Take a new guys first post, here, with a grain of salt. I know its an old post but...
