S&W Elite Gold Grade 1 SxS Value

Hi folks, anyone have an idea on what a 20 gauge Elite Gold Grade 1 is worth? Just the gun, no box or paperwork.

I am thinking about selling mine but I have gotten conflicting evaluations. One shop put a $450 value on it and another said they would sell it for $1400. One of the national gun auctions has a couple listed right now with minimum bids of $1300 and $1900.

The gun is in really nice condition other than one scratch on the right side of the stock near the butt. It was there when I acquired the gun years ago.

Have you checked recent auction sales (not asking) prices?

$450 is insulting and I think $1400 may be optimistic.

Hi Alan. Thanks for the suggestion. I found some sales on GB. High $2750 Low $1100. In between at $1624, $1580, $1399, $1250 and $1150. This gives me a much better idea of what I should ask. Of course now I am wondering if I should even sell. I like the gun but that's my problem, I like them all ! Thanks again. Take care and stay safe.

When you check the prices on Gunbroker, only check the "Completed Sales". So many list them at way to high a price. Go to "Advanced" and select "completed", and pass those that have no bids. Only look at those that actually sold.
