S&W for carry

Two 357M M640's. Both ported. Porting really helps to keep the muzzle down and on target.

Carried a lot. No airweights here, I don't like what they do to my right hand.

Dang, I didn't know that was a port over the cylinder release. I thought it was for lubing the gun.

My carry piece will be a new 442 (no lock) in a DeSantis Nemisis.

Both should arrive this week!!!!!

I'll be keeping it loaded with the short barrel 135gr Gold Dot load.

"First rule of a gunfight is to have a gun"

"I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy."

If the answer to which gun to carry was easy, there wouldn't be so many to choose from. I think it boils down to the above quotes. The nicest firearm in the world does you no good if it's locked up at home. I've been carrying a model 36 for about as many years. Tried a handful of autos, but keep coming back to the wheel gun. It just works for me. (Side note: Perhaps it's what I was first trained with and qualified to carry?)

Find what you're able to safely and accurately handle. You won't want to carry anything you aren't comfortable with. Try a few rentals and decide what feels good. Don't get too hung up on ammo either, just be sure to practice with what you carry. +P can be a bit of a surprise. And, like others have said, get some good leather, even for pocket carry.

My two cents
