Since I am new to the forum, and have not read every post about MIM parts etc. I was wondering if MIM is only being used for relatively small parts such as trigger, hammer, rebound slide or if the process is also being used to make frames?

Thanks,
Jim

Frame, sideplate, yoke, and barrel (on most) are still forged. Below is a photo of a plaque that hung on the wall in the FBI Academy Armory. It shows the major manufacturing step used to make, what looks like, an older Model 10. You can see which parts were forged, and the transformation they went thru during various forging steps..........

......I wish I had a higher resolution picture, but it is what it is.
