S&W holster

Last year I bought a nice MKIII SS target with 5 1/2 bull barrel. I got a S&W holster for it. On the back of the holster it says, "S&W in logo, with 19 on the left and 83 on the right." I think it might have been made for their mod. 41. It took a bit of extracting and inserting the Ruger to make it fit, but it does now perfectly.
Question is: does anyone know about the holster and what it was made for?

My chart for the 21 series has an 83 code for the 41,46 and 52 models.

Thanks. I had the feeling that the holster must have been made for a mod. 41. I just didn't understand the numbers. It must be style "19" and the size "83." At first I thought it meant the year it was made. Thanks again for confirming my supposition. TJ
