S&W holsters

is there anywhere I can find (or such a thing as) a listing of S&W holsters by model number and what they fit? I've been looking at holsters on auction sites and would like to get one for my 686+, but I've already got one that doesn't fit and don't want another one, and most of these holsters are listed online by the model number without saying what guns they fit.

I don't think S&W ever made holsters for the L-frame

my father-in-law has a Colt Python 6" in a S&W holster, so I'm sure my 686 would fit. I need to find out what model his is.
