Hi folks,

I saw a wonderful M67-2, and I would like to know
if anybody knows when the model went in production
and close

Do anybody know the key which is always behind the models,
for example: M 67-2 / M 67-3 / M 67-4 .............
or 686-2 / 686-3 .......

M 67-2

I thought in these forum exists experts for
Smith & Wesson

The 67-2 was in production from 1988-1933.
The "dashes" represent a change in production.
If you tell us the serial number, found on the bottom of the grip frame, we can be more specific. Don't reveal the last two digits i.e.: 5K785XX.
My wife has this nice 67 no dash, made in 1974.

Hi, I ve been waiting for your help with my seial number`?

The only way to know for sure is to get a letter from Smith & Wesson. We can get a rough idea from Supica & Nahas "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson", 3rd ed., c2006.

Production range for the 67-2 was 1988-1993 as already stated. The BPT serial number would be approximately December 1993.

Hope you enjoy your 67--it's a fine revolver.
