Well I sold my Glock 19 after shooting it for awhile. So with the funds I picked up:

M&P9 Range Kit $500 Shipped
M&P9 17 Round Magazine $30 Shipped
Ameriglo I Dot Pro Sights for $97 Shipped
Amazon.com: DeSantis Intruder S&W M&P 9/40 Right Hand Black: Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41fMpj7BlQL.@@AMEPARAM@@41fMpj7BlQL $40 Shipped (Had good experience with these for my Shield and Glock 19)

So I'll have my M&P9 with Night Sights
4x Magazines
2x Holsters (1 OWB/IWB)
Mag Holder
Mag Loader
Ear Plugs (Any Good?)

It's a good start right? I kinda wanna avoid APEX stuff if I can help it, I'm hoping I'll have a updated trigger.

So Im pretty psyched I can't wait for this to get to my FFL Already!

Are the earplugs that come with the range kit just normal plugs? or ones that filter high decibels but allow talking? I was kinda curious about that.

Im looking into the same MP9 range kit or Pro Series. How are the triggers on MP9 in the range kit? Also thanks for breaking the prices down, I was just doing that a minute ago. Can I ask why you got away from the Glock 19? I was thinking of going with a Glock 19. Decided to stay with MP, need another to compliment my Shield. Thanks again

My M&P9 I bought in the range kit had the updated trigger and I still didn't like it. Took it out and installed the Apex FSS kit which feels great but haven't had a chance to get to the range with it. You could probably polish the trigger bar and sear and get most of the grittiness out though.

From what I remember the earplugs in the kit are nothing to write home about. I never even tried them out so they are probably still in the case.

Once I got my Shield .40, I knew I'd get another M & P pistol. I just got the .40fs with range kit. 400 rounds on the Shield and 200 on
the fs, love these pistols

I don't have this kit, but I'll bet the ear plugs are nothing special. If they were, S&W would say so in their ads. Based on the pictures I've seen, they are just rubber plugs.

Well I did buy my 1st M&P as a kit, and Rastoff is correct. They are very basic ear plugs on a plastic string. Long term I wouldn't trust my one good ear to them. (or your two good ears)

Well she came.

Bad News

After cleaning my M&P, Oiling it. I racked the slide and dry fired a few times to help smooth the trigger out. I have a small scratch on the barrel just from that. Odd enough it was concentrated and not spread equally. Could there have been a bur in the slide? Whatever, it adds character. Just lame since it hasnt been fired yet.
Only explanation is a slight protrusion where those cast mark dots are.

It had the same smell you get from metal on metal when it happened. Similar to how it is when you first use a new AR15/New Charging handle a few times. that sounds weird I know

Gratz. Im so tempted to pick one up. But keeping my eye open for Pro Series.

The chamber is treated with Melonite. That is super hard and difficult to scratch. Try rubbing the scratch with a pencil eraser. That may actually fix your scratch.
