I was an avid bird hunter in the '70s and '80s. I had a 12 ga M1000 with a 26-inch IC barrel. It was light, fast-handling and super reliable. I always wanted a mate in 20 ga, but they were extremely rare. I wish S&W would see fit to bring the M1000 back. One in .410 would be nice, too. IMHO, it was, and is, a better shotgun than the Remington 1100 series.

It would be great. I also own a 1000 great field gun 3000 pump. I do not believe they will bring them. when smith stopped making long guns in the 80's. the plant sold the designs to Mossberg.

Nipponese

Pretty sure these were made in Japan for Both S&W and O.F. Mossberg
YEE!
I had a 28" fixed Modified in the 80's......NEVER should have let it go

I have a Model 1000 with a 28" modified barrel. I got it for Christmas when I was a teenager...probably early 80's. I do like that shotgun.

Like the poster above said I believe they were made in Japan. I also don't think S&W will bring them back.
