I've met and talked to Jeff a few times. He's at one of the local shows around here and always has some really nice stuff

D.T.56, Yeah I totally agree and have dealt with Jeff more than a few times.

Since I'm more of a revolver guy I asked him quite a few questions this time around and as always he was very helpful and a wealth of knowledge.

Kudos to his wife as well, she's friendly and so organized.

Very fine 39-2. It wasn't even made yet when I bought my circa 1974 39-2 in 1980. BTW, I don't know what I had back then, I just walked into a pawn shop and bought what looked like the best pistol to me. My first center fire semi auto pistol.

Bozz..., I have a buddy who is 20 years older than me and when he sees today's prices of classic firearms he always said he would have bought a crate of them if he only knew.

You just never know.

Compliments on a stunning pistol.

There's one on the way to my FFL purported to be in similar condition. I'm anxious to see what I bought. It'll join my three others; one each in blue and nickel both nice but not pristine and a Connecticut State Police commerative NIB.

I guess I like 39-2's. :D

Jeppo, from the sound of it you definitely have been bitten.

Be sure to share some pics,

Amazingly nice!!! :D :D :D Color me very envious! :)

Super sweet pistola my friend. Like the boxed S&W folder too. Very cool.

Suidsix, thank you sir and as for the knife, that's a late 70's Blackie Collins design he did for S&W.

There were a whole series he did that got the company into knife manufacturing. (See my other post for detailed pics)

Man THAT is a gorgeous example, wow!

And you guys that have genuine skill with a camera, you sure make it look easy. It's a very high grade pistol but the quality of the photo -- that's a stunner as presented.

Sevens, believe it or not the majority of my gun photo's are taken with an iPhone 6s.

All good pictures start with the desired lighting and staging of your subject. (I always combine natural and incandescent light sources together and never have just one)

Finally, try, try and try some more.

Oh I have no doubt whatsoever that an iPhone can take a fantastic picture, but the pictures you posted drive home my point. And my own laughable experience tells me that you are giving your iPhone some of the credit that YOU deserve yourself. ;) I've never taken a gun picture that looks like those.

Hello All, I found this nice Model 39-2 ca 1981 at the Oaks, PA Guns Show.

I've been looking for one for while and Jeff of Highland Arms Co came through.

Hope you enjoy,

Kobsw

Man, he saw you coming! :D
Congratulations! ;)
