Just looked at a Model 12-2, 4" square butt. Has box all paperwork, cleaning rod and brush in the plasic bag. Gun looks to have never been fired, has no holster ware and the grips are mint and serial numbered to the gun. What is a good price for this pistol that will leave a little meat on the bone for me in the future?

I would think if has never been fired and has the box with everything it SHOULD easily sell for $550 or so... If I was looking to buy such a critter I would be wanting to only lay out some $350 to $375... Offer what you feel comfortable with and see where it goes. Kyle

Thanks, I can get the gun for $400.00 which I think I will and just put it up for hard times. Can't afford gold so I guess I will invest in guns, food and lead those things can keep you alive.

See if you can get him down under $360ish. It would be a shame to not get it for lack of trying. They are wonderful revolvers. I have a snubby 12-2 round butt that did ankle duty for a long, long time.

"FWIW, paid $350 OTD for a '74 M12-2...all original; box, papers...only missing screwdriver, just a few weeks ago."

These didn't come with one, because the "screwdriver" is actually a "sight adjustment tool" (SAT) that was only shipped with revolvers with adjustable rear sights.

You won't be sorry at that price.

I look at some purchaces in this light: If I am happy with what I paid, and the seller is happy...life is good.

You can usually meet in the middle somewhere. But...some guys want ALL the money.

I walked away from a near mint Model 10 this morning...asking price was $475. Nice gun. Good gun.

Box,paperwork in reality a 95% graded 10-5 in blue.

It didn't come home. He wouldn't move a penny. Oh well.

I just bought an excellent+ Mdl 12-3 with no box. The gun looks unfired. I paid $445 or so. I don't think I paid too much considering the quality and condition of the gun. It's the first one I can remember seeing. I think they're a real value for the buck.
