S&W Model 15-2 - How old is it?

My wife has a Model 15-2, .38 spl revolver that she shoots very well. I'm curious how old it is? Is been very well taken care of, the barrel looks like its been in and out of a holster.

Give us the serial number off the butt of the gun with the last couple digits Xed out if you like and we can tell you when it left the factory.

The 15-2 was made between 1961 and 1966 according to the SCSW.
As Dick stated if you look on the heel of the revolver and post the serial or part of it by Xing out the last 2 or 3 digits
we can narrow that down a bit.

The serial starts with a K and probably is between K429,895 and K716,000 on your gun.

The gun is a S&W Model 15-2, K7138XX.

I'm thinking early to mid 60's? Just curious.
