I have a K frame 2" Revolver. Looks like it is stamped Mod 15-3
.
It has adjustable sights.
The trigger is very smooth.
I believe it is a Combat Masterpiece, and either has had some tirgger work done or came from the custom shop.

How can I get more info on this weapon?

The model 15 is the epitome of S&W 38 special revolvers. The trigger is very smooth cause that's the way S&W made them back then. I too have 15-3 with a two inch barrel but it shoots like it thinks it has a four inch barrel. I had a four inch 15-2 that I let get away many moons ago. You can call S&W to get and approx. date of manufacture. More info can be found on the internet, Shoot the snot out of it, they don't make them like that anymore.

Welcome to the forum,
Depends what more info you are seeking,
If you post the serial number members can estimate its approximate age by known serials close to it,
The 15-3 was offered from the late 60's to mid 70's.
If you want to know its exact ship date and where it shipped to you can purchase a factory letter, the factory didn't track who purchased them unless it was a special order from the factory in which case the historical foundation might have letters of correspondence.

The 2” 15 is very desirable and cool.
I agree...Here's my 15-2 I used to carry everyday, now retired to display duty...

I've got a few myself - IMHO the M15 has to be one of the greatest revolvers every made by S&W.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, and seeing what you wrote (and agreeing) I decided to make a head count...Currently 14 model marked 15's live in my safe, plus an earlier Combat Masterpiece and one other non-model marked 4" with TT & TH that has the characteristics of a dash 3...They all seem to be living in harmony in there, so I guess I'll just keep them......Ben

I have a few of them.

Until recently I carried a model 67 as my daily carry gun. The stainless equivalent. Hard to beat a K frame 38.

A lot of detailed info on Model 15 changes in this thread beginning at post #26.
Some Combat Masterpiece eye candy

There's another recent thread on Model 15's with 2" barrels with maybe a little less history.
