I can tell you that I bought an excellant cond. 19-4 2.5 for $450 last spring.. I think that is still the going rate for that pistol, but it is a P&R gun which most would probaly put a higher value on..sorry I couldn't be of more help, but you could check Gun Broker

I found a mint condition 19-8 with a 4" bbl. about a year ago for $500 + tax. Great gun with an exceptional action. I'd love to find a 2.5", too!

Hope this helps!

Scout , the 19-8 was the last engineering change of the magnificent
Combat Magnum and was only made a short time.
In lower condition $300. range. Higher condition $500 as stated.

California, god-only-knows, as you cats out there are crazy.

P.m. me for my phone # ,and when you go to make the deal,
call me. I'll help any way I can.

Good luck

I just picked up a mint, unfired 19-6 4" at a gun show for just under $500. Magnificent gun, and (IMHO) the prettiest handgun you can own.

Just sold a 19-5 mint nickel 2.5" for $525.00 and there were three buyers in a hour or less. no box or docs some people might put a premium on Nickel I prefer blue.

You kids
are talking about a lot of model 19 revolvers, but the question is about the 19-8. I have this revolver in snub nose configuration and I'd like to know how much I should ask for it.

Can't help with the snubby version, but within the last 30 days I bought an absolutely unfired, as new, without box 19-8 with a 4" barrel for $400.00 plus tax (came to about $427.00 in Ohio). I felt like I got an exceptional deal on it and really like the gun, despite the UGLY factory Uncle Mikes rubber grips (I own earlier dashes of 19s, and like them very much, but this one is a keeper). The trigger pull is very crisp (maybe a pound heavy) and it's a great shooter.

FWIW it came with an aluminum foam padded case for that price, which I promptly sold and recouped the tax on the gun, so I am an even $400 into this one.

I've been looking for some nice K frame RB grips for this gun, then it will be complete.

BTW, it is no longer "unfired", lol. I've shot it north of 300 rds so far and it shoots amazing.

Can't help with Cali pricing though as Cali is like the past, "they do things differently there".
