I like the gun. The grips look like they were made for someone with oversized paws.....I hop the auction house offers you some recompense, but that is a very nice piece, regardless.

The auction house did make a generous offer that I accepted and did not really push back that hard. They are also working to aid me in getting some provenance from the family on the gun's history. Sounds like a good final outcome. Getting the history/provenance on the gun would be icing on the cake.

I like it very much. I have two 4" 24-3s which is close as I'll likely get to a 4" 1950 target.
