Hello all... New to the forum. I'm looking for a value range for a 1962 Smith & Wesson Model 31, which was also known as the .32 Regulation Police. The grips aren't original to the gun, but it otherwise looks to be in the factory-correct configuration.

Serial # is 70##63

I apologize for the poor photo quality.

Thank you in advance for your input.

Welcome to the forum.

That's a pretty nice I frame which makes it a little more collectible for some. One of late shipment in 1962. They were made on the longer J frame beginning in early 1961.

A hand polish with Semichrome or Flitz or Mother's mag wheel polish would really enhance the appearance and and only have a positive effect on value.

If the serial number on the outside bottom of the box matches the gun, you have the original box.
