S&W Model 36 Chief Special

I have a chance to buy a model 36 (don't know if it's a -1) and am trying to date it. The serial number is J880xxx. Any help would be appreciated.

A great little J frame - I have both the snub and the 3". The snub is my favorite carry and the 3" is just plain fun. If you get it, you won't regret it.

What's not to love about a Chief's Special?

There's not anything to dislike with the Model 36 as they make great Carry guns. I have one that is older and a flat latch model.
