S&W Model 36

Hi guys
Just picked up a model 36 and need a little help.
When you open the cylinder it is stamped MOD.36.
On the cylinder is stamped the number 49248.
On the bottom of the butt is the number 41J3
On the side of the butt is the number 49248
Also stamped on the gun is G3.
Question Does anybody know the age of this gun and also is the serial number 49248.

The serial number is 41J3

49248 is an assembly number to keep the fitted parts together during manufacturing.
