S&W Model 41

Well I got the 41 from Cabela's...finally. Slow shipping for certain. UPS second day air to ship 75 miles....oh ok...85 miles then! In the meantime I got another 41(7 3/8") in the 771XX serial range(mid 60s?). And the price was really right on it so now I have 3. And I have 2 extra barrels. I may sell one of the bbls...probably the 7 inch one. My wife has glommed on to the one I got from Cabela's. Even though it is longer the darn thing is lighter even with the compensator. Darn these things are really nice shooters. Cleaning out the vault downstairs I have found all kinds of little things S&W. I didn't know I was a S&W collector! I do need to find a set of stocks/grips for a 41 though.

I suggest getting a False Nose for the longer Barrel and putting the Muzzle brake away. They are a pain in the bottom end to clean and can throw your shots off when its plugged. They are quite cheap to buy and easy to find as long as you tell them the serial No.

You may want to try ebay from time to time. 41 stocks are always for sale. (original and custom)

I did get a set of custom stocks and they do look good. As far as the compensator it is working just fine..no clogs etc. But I would like to find a nose piece for the one with the comp. Only one I have seen was priced at a hundred dollars. I am going to sell the targets that came on the gun. Can't remember the brand right now though
