Does anyone have any experience with the S&W 22 cal. revolver, Model 43C? It's either that or a Ruger LCR 22 cal revolver. Just looking for a neat little 22 cal in revolver configuration, plus I like S&W.

Only had mine a few weeks but I've been very pleased with it.
A user on AR15.com says his has light strikes on some ammunition but mine has been flawless on more than a dozen brands.
Most of what I've shot has been bulk pack ammo and it should be the worst but my gun eats it like candy.
A common complaint for all of the new Ruger and Smith small .22s is the heavy triggers.
Needed to provide ignition with rimfire ammo.
They will give your hand a workout.
I tried a lighter rebound spring in mine but it didn't seem to make a difference so I put the original back in.
For a small, lightweight, fun revolver, I love it.
Kids and females will probably be turned off by the trigger.
Don't overlook the 317 and the new model 63.
Both can be fired single action and the 63 seems to have a lighter DA pull to me.
Maybe because it's heavier.

The 43c. 351c, 317 and 351pd have an alloy cylinder. This requires a harder hammer smack than a steel cylinder.

I handled a Model 43 at a gun show last week. It seemed to be a very nice gun. I looked at the heritage revolvers online, but after handling one, I decided that it was not for me. The Model 43 may be my 22lr revolver of choice.

Bought my 43C about 3 years ago. I like it a lot. Added Craig Spegel boot grips.

I don't have any experience with that particular model, but have a pretty fair amount of trigger time with J and K frame 22 revolvers over all. If one is experiencing what they believe are light primer strikes, examine the primers and see if the marks are as deep as the ones that did fire. It may not be the strength of the hammer strike as opposed to a batch or brand of ammo that has issues. My son and I were recently shooting my Model 34 with Aguila high velocity and experienced misfires on double action. That revolver has a pretty stiff trigger as opposed to my other wheel guns, but is 20-some years old. It might be the gun, but it might also be the ammo. We'll test the ammo with a Model 18 and 10/22 carbines to see if we have any issues. Most of the misfires went off the second time. That said, I think the 43c is a pretty neat little gun and would like to own one some day.

Nice choice, the 43. My sister has one with a few miles on it, in nickel. Accurate at range and a keeper for sure, with no light strikes when I shot it.

Just ordered one from S&W website "Gallery of Guns", Gun Genie. Looking forward to shooting it. Armadillos are tearing up pastures, we'll see if I can dispatch a few of the critters.
New 43C at the range
I got to shoot 50 rounds through my new 43C today. It has been my CCW for a month and I love how well it carries. I wear dress slacks and polo shirts and I have tried over 25 different pocket guns before I landed on this little jewel.
The trigger is not as sweet as any of my other pistols but it gets the job done. Great for a trail gun or fun gun.
