I just bought this gun on Tuesday. It was purchased from the family of Jack Roy who was mentor to me in the early 1970s and had a gun shop in Hamtramck Michigan.
Jack sent it to Japan for engraving which was the thing to do back then as off shore labor was talented while rather inexpensive.

A beautiful gun.I remember your thread on Jack Roy's gun shop.I llived on west side of Detroit . Never made it to that gun shop wish I would of.

Jack's shop was in the basement of his house. It was quite a place. Guns were stored all over his basement.
His glass display case was a place of a very clever security piece. In the front of the case was a double barreled shotgun with the muzzle pointing towards the base of the stairs.
A 'bad guy' might be severely affected trying to go up the steps! :)
The 'pull cord' to the triggers was very cleverly hidden at the back of the case housing the shotgun!

Wow, that is beautiful work! You are very fortunate to have a classy Model 60 that belonged to your mentor!
