S&W Model 610

The model 610 is chambered in the 10mm and I am wondering, can the 40 S&W be fired in this? I am thinking it should work since the 10 mm uses " moon " clips and there is no difference is case diameter. Be like shooting 38 spl. in a 357. Just curious

A few years ago 10 mm ammo was hard to find but plenty of 40 S&w around. Makes for a great option to keep on shooting.

Yep, shooting .40S&W (must use moonclips) is one of the nice advantages of the 610. Plus they look nice.

Could a 41 Rem Mag cylinder be done if the window is long enough?

All N-frames have the same window size (LxH).

All caliber N-frame cylinders are the same width (1.710").

But their cylinder lengths vary.

The 10AUTO cylinder is 1.573" long.

The 41MAG cylinder is 1.670" long.

Are you asking about launching .410" jacketed bullets at magnum velocities and smacking them in to the rear end of a .400" bore?
