Has anyone ever seen one of these?? I accuired it and was told possibly 1 of 37 produced. I found one picture online of one with a s&w letter next to it stating it was sent to lew horton for polishing and was a s&w display.

What is the product code on the box end label. I don't see anything in the Standard Catalog about 64's sent to Lew Horton.

Probably one for a factory letter, or a call/e-mail to Lew Horton; LH seems to be very receptive to requests like this.

Is it against forum rules to post the pic i found online about the other high polished 64 for refrence purpose?

I was just searching s&w 64 pics and found this one.

Unless the specific revolver you are looking at "Letters" as a factory High Polish, believe the gun not the story with the gun.

P.s. from your photo it appears as if someone did an excellent high polish on that stainless steel revolver.

Keep us posted, please.

I will keep u posted. it does make al little sense following that letter on the specific gun. I received the gun in the plastic s&w box with the label on the end and all paper work. The others i see with that product code came out earlier in the blue card board box. I listed another pistol i recieved with this one. Was a s&w super 9 with all three barrels in the factory box as well.

I am not sure. Cant see all the serial # in the pic. But what i can see it is off my atleast 300.

Then they were probably made on the same day, which would lend more credence to the possibility it was factory polished. It's just a normal s/n, so there would of been lots of other guns being made that day that same BSC prefix. So even though these two M64's didn't have perfectly sequential s/n's they still could of been made side-by-side. Only a factory letter would confirm the polish on your gun was a true "factory polish", but the signs look promising.

I am gonna get the form filled out for the gun to get it lettered when i get home. Will post on here what i find out.
