S&W Model 642/442 hammer in model 60?

Hey all, I have browsed around a bit and seen people who have used a 649 hammer in a model 60 or the likes, but am curious if a 642/442 etc hammer would fit in a model 60 (both hammers being the new style) I am curious if I could make a defacto double action only of my model 60 and save the original hammer

also, what parts if any are interchangeable between the new and old style j frame? I have successfully interchanged the cylinder catch latch and screw, are the rebound slides and or triggers interchangeable like on some of the larger frames

Slips, I think only the earliest of Centennials had hammer mounted firing pins. All three of my 442s (pre 642s) had frame mounted firing pins.
