hammer won't cock. Take yoke out and install just cylinder with extraction rod assembly. Bolt slides back hammer cocks. Install yoke with cylinder assembly bolt doesn't slide back far enough to cock hammer. Push thumb button back by hand S/A and D/A work perfectly. Everything is clean.

Open the cylinder and swing it out. Push the rear latch pin in the center by hand, it will be stiff, but should push in. When you release it, does it spring back out immediately, or is it slow and "sticky"? It may be sticking and not pushing the bolt far enough back when you close the cylinder to clear the hammer so it will retract.

I have a M66-1 snubby that did the same thing. The lube inside the cylinder axle and extractor rod was gummed up, even though the rest of the gun was clean.

Also check to make sure lug under barrel isn't sticky as its spring helps the springs on center pin. I would take the ejector rod off cylinder, clean it, the center pin and spray out the extractor from both ends. Also check for gunk under cylinder release thump piece. Might be gunk under the bolt inside the frame. That needs cleaned out.

Thanks for the replies. This gun is pristine inside. It was in pieces, literally. Everything is clean, no gunk or anything else. Just a light oiling with a soft brush. I made a video and trying to post it, but, beyond me so far. New to this forum need to learn some stuff first. Already had one warning

Is the center pin slightly off center? Basically, not pushing the bolt back.
If that is happening, you can align the yoke.
