S&W model 66

Sure sweet guns. Grabbed the only one that's ever crossed my path:

It was $400 last fall. No box or accessories, though.

I like the M66. Wish I had a couple of no dash M66's, but I do have a couple of M66-1's.

Sell it to me.... I wouldn't mind another bull in the bullpen. ;-)
But really, that's pretty much the going price (in Texas).
 
Nice. FWIW, any stainless steel Smith (or other brand) can be brought back to 100% with a little care. Percent finish really doesn't apply to stainless guns.

Also, correct stocks can be found relatively easily.

What needs to be done to bring them back?
Anything I specifically SHOULDN'T do?

My father passed away last year and left me his service revolver that he purchased when he first got into law enforcement, I was curious if anybody can tell where to find, or has access to the date of manufacture, its a 4' SS S/N: 2k (6 or 8 my eyes are bad) 4000

I remember him always telling me it was rare because the last three numbers all being 0

1972, serial number is pretty close to the one I have pictured in my post above.
