I need information and or a parts diagram on the rifle,
What I know is it is a S&W Model A in a 300 win mag. It was made by Husqvarna Vapenfabriks A B Sweden between 1969 and 1972. I read where 750 were made , that does not sound like much to me but maybe there was some problems with the contract between the 2 companys. I did not show a picture because the gun was customized with a fiber glass stock and some kind of coating that give it a blueish gray look. It has had trigger work and is set at 1.5 lbs, and my Gunsmith has the gun and i cannot get a picture right now.
The problem I'm having is I cannot remove the bolt without removing the trigger. My Gunsmith say's there is a part missing from the trigger that does not allow the hammer to drop down below the groove under the bolt that allows it to come out of the receiver. He has tried to make a pin with a spring to go where the part is missing but it makes the trigger pull very hard. If some one knows anything or has a diagram of this rifle it would help me .
Thanks,

Your rifle should be essentialy a Mauser action with a bit of difference. The bolt stop is a thin piece of metal lying in a groove in the left underside of the bridge. It is tensioned and held in place by a flat spring screwed into the reciever with the bolt stop also pivoting on this screw. There is a serrated button extending out of the left lower end of the reciever,Push it and the bolt will come out.The trigger is not used to remove the bolt unless it has been modified.

Ken,
I have seen pictures of the type rifle you are talking about.
The S&W Model does not have this spring type bolt release on the left side under the bolt. For some reason Husqvarna used some kind of a part that works with the trigger. After you try fire the rifle you pull the trigger a little further this allows the hammer to drop down below the groove under the bolt. This allows the bolt to be removed from the receiver. Some one who owned the gun befor me either lost the part or it broke. This part missing still lets the rifle shoot the only problem is I cannot remove the bolt with out removing the trigger assembly.

OK then,You have a copy of the Husqvarna 8000 and not the Mauser copies.Get your gunsmith to make the pin the same size as the hole in the trigger assembly. The pin only acts as a sear tilt so you can pull the bolt off.The sear only stops the bolt if the gun is cocked.Try this,Make sure the gun is empty, pull the trigger and without letting go of the trigger lift the bolt and pull it out.I have an artical here that explains it, if you want it I can email it to you.

I got my rifle ffrom the Gunsmith after a month and a half the bolt comes out like it is supposed too!!!!!!!!
He had to make a pin for the trigger, now after you pull the trigger you pull it back a little more bolt it and it will come right out . Thanks for the information.
