Been looking for one of these a long time.
It is a lizard and I paid more than I wanted to
but it will average out with the W&K I picked up for $400.00
late last year.

Howie, did you forget to mention that that is one of the Houston PD guns ordered from W&K after the shootout at the furniture store? Kinda a relevant fact there since a lot of folks don't know where HPD is. Interesting to not that my Grandfathers law office and the radio studio where he did a show on land titles was just a block or 2 from the big shootout!

Congratulations!!!

Randy...yes, it is part of that group.
Shipped March 19 1931.

Does the tag say $659, for a .44 HE third model with an LE connection? I'd say you got a great bargain or you're pulling our legs about overpaying!

Congratulations on your find. I will stick my neck out there and say that I'd rather see an old lizard with honest wear than amateur engraving that seem to be common among W&K 3rd models. Just saying...

Must not be too common as I've been trying to acquire one of those W&K's with their "amateur engraving" for a couple decades now and haven't been able to do it.

The tag on the nickel was $650 pawn shop buy.
Drove it out for $400.00... no LE connection.
The 44 off GB tonight the HPD gun with letter
was a bit high but I have been looking awhile.
