I bought my 9mm mp shield 2 weeks ago. The first time I went to the range everything worked fine. I went to the range this past Sunday and after shooting maybe 4 clips my pistol stopped firing. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Take it to the basics, take it apart (follow along on any of the excellent youtubes out there) clean it well and try again. If that doesnt work, call S&W I am sure they will help, they are great.

Please let us know how the cleaning and whether it worked. I have a Shield 9mm so I'm interested.

besides the cleaning suggestion, i'd maybe ask what ammo was being used in case somehow that either malfunctioned or perhaps 'gummed' up something affecting the outcome after a few mags worth.

The problem is....... The round is going into the chamber but when I pull back on the trigger there is nothing. I removed that bullet from the chamber slide the slide back to fire the next round and still nothing. Did this several times and still did not fire. Field stripped the pistol and cleaned it. I am going to the range today to see if it will fire or not. Will update when I get back.

You can dry fire it at home. You'll know if the pin operates.

When out and shot around 100 rounds and fired everytime. Not sure if it was the bullet8i was using because I used different ones this time or if it was because I didn't oil it before I shot it the first time.
