S&w no 1 1/2 .32s&w mainspring screw

The heat from a heat gun is above boiling (212* @ sea level) and below any color change. I heat the metal to the point that I can't keep my hand on the metal and then apply the penetrating oil. Degree? Hot to the touch.

I've never heard of Mouse Milk. The closest that I've heard of is Moose Milk used when setting tile floors.

Hi There,

Uncomfortably hot to hold is somewhere around 100°F
to 120°F and above. I have been a little worried about
applying too much heat to a nickel plated gun and having
the heat loosen the bond. But below the boiling point of
water, heat shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers!
Webb
