Did S&W ever make wood presentation boxes for 2 revolvers? K,N or J frames? I need some dimentions and type of corner info as well What type of wood and lining was used in 1896-1961 and 1961-1980? I've got some antique locks and hardware and would like to make 2 or 3 up.

Thanks,
Ischia

I have some pics of one non factory that I adapted from one I/J target to accommodate two Kit guns. Might get some ideas from that.
Most of the late cases look like they were made from mahogany with dado corners. Very soft wood.

Boxes

I have a S&W origional box that the insides were bad and I put red felt in it and fitted it to 2 J frame Smiths 2",

Somewhere on this sight a guy was talking about reflocking bad
S&W boxes. I have some boxes the blue fuzzy stuff just fell off.
would like to know how to reflock.

If you get one made up, would love to see pictures. I have a pair of 5" M27's (one blue, one nickel) that I was just thinking would look really cool displayed together....

We had the pleasure of meeting Joe in Tucson this year. He's not only very good at restoring S&W box's but also very reasonable on the cost.
