Where can I download a S&W revolver schematic? I know that there are just a few, (one size fit all) but the part numember that S&W give do not match up with the schematic that are sometimes available on the online parts houses,
Thanks for any help than you can render.

Thanks Carl,
Just what I was looking for, (S&W 686 .357). I do not think that S&W trust the everyday person with all this “information”, for this is the way it sounded to me. S&W said that there was “some shade tree mechanic’s that were using it to work on their guns”
Thanks again Carl,
Glen

Thanks for the suggestions, will try them. The parts list from S&W didn’t match up with some of the schematic that I have run across!

Model 29

I realize this may be a thread jack, but I am only posting here because it really has to do with the schematic I found on this thread.

I took apart my model 29 .44 magnum so I could grind the grooves out of the trigger. When I was putting it back together, a little plastic piece came out and I have no clue as to where it goes. I have downloaded and looked at schematics, as well as spent numerous hours trying to place it.

I know I should have taken a picture of it before I took it apart so I could easily put it back together, but I wasn't anticipating a little plastic piece.

Any help will be appreciated.

It rides in a verticle slot behind the hammer.
