S&W Semi-Auto Picture Thread

I've spent most of my time here on the revolvers sections, although I do enjoying shooting semi-autos, too. I picked up this M&P40 yesterday after years of owning Glocks--I've read a bunch about them and they sound quite promising. My only other S&W semi-auto experience was with an early 1990's Model 5906 that I just couldn't shoot accurately, even though it felt good in the hand. So far I'm really impressed with the feel of the M&P--let's hope it continues to impress once I take it to the range!

If you dislike the trigger…be sure to install an Apex Tactical kit….remarkable improvement….

Clockwise from upper right - Body Guard 380, Sig 938, Shield 40, MP9c w/Viridian C5L laser, MP9 FS w/Viridian C5L laser. Shield 40 is my go to carry weapon, Body Guard is backup. Sig 938 is secondary carry gun that can be pocket carried. MP9's with Viridian lasers stay hidden within the house for high round capacity HD. Only one problem child within the group, that being the Body Guard. Two trips to S&W CS seems to have straightened her out for now.

Thought I try to resurrect this thread. Here's my 5943TSW with Goncalo Alves boots and my St. Michael Medal!

I I'd like to see S&W reintroduce a few of these models. First duty gun was a 6906 and loved it. Chance to own a new one would be great!

My first 1911. Put 100 rounds through it yesterday. I suprise how accurate it was. No adjustments needed. :D

New 4006

Knocked off a bucket list gun a couple of weekends ago:

4006 with adjustable sights. Great shooter, it digested about 200 rounds of mixed factory target ammo, first-run target-weight reloads and 3 different brands of defensive ammo on the first range trip. 2 FTFs from Hornady defensive ammo, the kind with the polymer insert in the hollow-point, but otherwise flawless.

I had wanted a pure safe queen, but when this one popped up locally for a song I grabbed it. It's been dropped on the left side: the stock grips had a big gouge in them at the base, the takedown lever has a ding and there is a scratch on the slide but that didn't stop me from slapping the Hogue Pau Ferro's on it!
