Hey everyone, I picked up what I think is a pretty cool S&W Shooter's knife at a gun show today.

It has a Sight Adjustment Screwdriver and a blade. The screwdriver fits my adjustable rear sights on my S&W revolvers. I like it and will carry it in my range bag.

Anybody know anything about it?

I have one that Mrs. Bobb bought for me a few decades ago.
Decent blade on the knife.
Don't put too much torque on the screwdriver. It's quite thin on the end.

I carry 2 knives on a daily basis. One is a Spyderco Delica for most general cutting tasks and the other is the smallest SAK model (the one that is supposed to go on a key chain - forgot the name). The SAK gets used for sight adjustments as the screwdriver in it is the perfect size to do so. The screwdriver, nail file and the scissors are really why I carry the little knife. I don't remember ever using the tiny knife blade in it.

I've seen several of the SAT knives, but one I had that wasn't seen often was the swing open blade. Came in a little leather sheath, and very handy. I sold it to someone on the forum several years ago.

There are a couple on ebay with the box and the asking price is $80. plus shipping. A couple more in the $40 and $50. range plus shipping.
Well that's dang encouraging! I only paid $10 for it! I'll probably just keep and use it for sight adjustments at the range.

Nice score! The knife was introduced circa 1980 and by 1986 could be found being sold at clearance prices by Smoky Mountain Knife Works.

Ko41, there she is bottom left in the first picture!

Very cool, thanks for the information.

So, I guess I should only use the knife on my early 80's 686 no dash?
Probably only good for that model
anyway, haha!

Thanks.
