Ole Joe Clark
Absent Comrade
Good Morning Everybody!
It seems quite in the neighborhood, a pleasant, but damp, 62° at the moment. Old Glory is hanging limp, waiting to be caressed by the morning breeze.
Ole Santa is probably still fast asleep after a really fast trip around the world. There were no cookies and milk left out for Him here, but some wonderful Christmas treats that made him glad that funny red suit was made from material that had some give in it.
I hope that you all were able to spend some quality time with family, catch up on hugs, and "I Love You's". We gathered at our Oldest Daughter's place and shared a meal, exchanged gifts and just enjoyed the Special Day.
I gotta brag just a little bit: Last week someone mentioned the "Battle of the Bulge" in which lots of friends and relatives fought during the last stages of WWII. On a lighter note, I won my personal "Battle of the Bulge" of a different sort. I was dreading my Sunday morning weigh in today, but was pleasantly surprised. I lost 2.4 pounds since last Sunday!! My new Beltman leather belt will fit again as it's supposed to. I was back down to 153.8 pounds.
Remember to count your blessings as you reflect on the family gathering during the Christmas holiday. The glass is not half empty, it's at least half full, or maybe running over!
Enough!
Have a blessed Sabbath ya'll, I insist on it!
Leon
