Sabbath Day Ramblings, November 21, 2021

I had my first cancer operation on my 38th birthday in 1991...and here I am, at age 68, alive and well, with no more than normal ailments for a man my age.

I survived a difficult and stressful career, where I incurred everything from a broken back to 3rd degree burns...and I've been retired for 17 years, and able to tell great "war stories" to family and friends.

My post-retirement career has me doing important national security work, safeguarding my country. I love what I do, my co-workers are like family, my boss is a prince, and I am paid well for what I do.

My two sons have grown up to be good men...kind and decent, and wonderful husbands and fathers. My younger son and his wife recently gave me my first grandson... :)

I awaken every morning, look up, and say "thank you"...

It's great to see another face behind the screen name.

I lived for 20 years in Frederick and worked in Baltimore, Rockville, Frederick and Towson.

After breakfast we had a short Bible study led by Logan. He focused on "loads we can bear".

On that topic, I ask a favor. If you folks remember, my eldest, Lindsey, was involved in a bad auto accident in May. She was immobilized for 5 months. She had been working hard to regain the use of her right foot and was cleared last month to go back to her job as an aide in an Assisted Living home.

I ask for prayer as she suffered a setback yesterday. A large resident drove over her bad foot with a motorized wheelchair thereby fracturing it. She is in a lot of pain and back in a walking cast.

We would appreciate it. Thanks.

Prayers for Lindsey from both of us here in Texas. Best wishes for her future well being.

Blessed Sunday to all! What a great start this morning and thanks to the Lord from my tree stand in the woods. Entered the woods and up in my stand a full 30 minutes before daybreak....the silence and reflection time, as well as thanking the Lord for my ability to be here at all was worth the effort to make it there..... prayers sent to you all in need at the present time. My Lord owns my heart...what a blessing!
Stay Safe...life is fragile!

You are a good man Beemerguy!
