Good Morning!!!

Fall has officially arrived in Dixie, ushered in by a huge, beautiful, frost this morning. The MBH has 2 beautiful yellow Peace roses blooming and Old Glory is gently waving in the breeze. Peace roses, and any thing else related to peace are certainly appropriate these days.

We celebrated our youngest Daughter's birthday yesterday. I ate to much, and my visit to the fat meter, (bathroom scale) was not pleasant this morning. I could blame the MBH's delicious tea cakes, but the old Geezer in the mirror is really the one to blame.

There are lots of comments on the forum about Veteran's Day and loved ones that served and some that are still serving. Some of the heroes are well known, but there were, and continue to be, stories of heroic deeds that were never told and known only to God. I dare to say that there are many more untold stories and actions than those that were told and medals given. God bless you all.

The weather in our area has been absolutely beautiful with the exception of a couple of rainy days. The leaves are at their peek for color.

It's less than 2 weeks until Thanksgiving, and now is the time to invite someone special for a meal on that day. If you think there is nothing to be thankful for, just look around you and count your blessings. Or visit a Nursing Home, Veteran's Home and do a re-count. I am thankful for my family and friends and God that loves me in spite of me.

Enough!!

My cup is running over this morning.

Don't forget your lonely family, friends and neighbors this blessed holiday season!! Sometimes just a phone call is gold!

Have a blessed and wonderful Sabbath Day,

Leon

Good Sabbath Leon,

We had a stone-cold walk this morning. Thirty-two degrees with a slight wind and frost everywhere. It was a beautiful morning.

We replaced our old yard sweeper implement this week. I had been pulling the old one (with the zero-turn mower) since 2005. So, 16 years of hard use. Not too bad.

I used to sweep two other properties, along with mine, and one year I got 1000 bales of pine-straw. Usually I averaged 450 bales per season. Now I only do our yard. Those sweepers really work great!

Here are some pics from our daybreak, fall walks. We are indeed blessed!

Good afternoon, everybody. It's getting cooler but it's still a beautiful day in southcentral PA. I'll be watching the Browns game and my uncle here in town will be watching the Steelers game and we will probably be texting each other back and forth as to what is happening in each game.

We've had some wind last week and now the birds don't have any cover with the leaves gone. A boy came around and offered to rake up my leaves (for a price). I declined his offer but thanked him for coming around as I was glad to see young people showing ambition.

My brother called and we spent a while talking about what we'll be doing for Thanksgiving. I'm planning on going up to his house and he talked about us going from there to visit our cousin in southern Ohio.

Everyone enjoy the day.

Sunday morning services were held in the shooting house on the hunting lease. It is the second weekend of muzzleloader season in TN and Southern Middle TN is looking good.

I got to watch a nice 6 pt. small 3pt. yesterday morning. This morning I was privileged to observe a magnificent 8 pt. with dark chocolate antlers. A few minutes later, a spike meandered in on the same trail.

No shots fired but, prayers offered and answered.

Blessed Sunday to all. Woke up to 6" of white stuff this morning. The white pine branches are quite stressed with the heavy load they are carrying. The sun just popped out and the view is worthy of thanking the Lord!
Keep the faith and stay safe!
