So, today I was picking up an acquisition at my friendly FFL. He has his inventory on his website, which many smaller shops do. I ran across an M&P in 22magnum with 4 magazines in very clean condition for $425. I put $100 down on it and I'll probably pick it up in a couple days. I just didn't want to fill out the paperwork again. But I just wondered if they are decent guns and if the price seems reasonable? It has a serial number PKJ4939. I didn't bother to look it up yet for it's born on date.
Thanks for any help. Jeff

Loud for sure and ammo prices have gone stupid for the 22mag now too. I have an early production ria 22mag handgun for some years . Looking back it use useful purchase . Being a rimfire cartridge you will need to find th best ammo for accuracy and hope its reliable with it . Reliable looks to be good with the m&p version . Ballistics for a 22mag can be disappointing when compared to 22lr do to ammo availability .

I'll more than likely let a grandson have my ria 22mag when he's old enough as I also bought a plenty of ammo for it when cost was no more than 50% of today cheaper 22mag ammo ! I already sold an good old 22mag bolt action rifle .

I can shoot 9mm cheaper today in a handgun or a carbine and even 223 /5.56 ammo cost is about the same or lower for many brands and since we have several in that caliber !

Good luck with your purchase .
