What a gorgeous Sabbath Day in Dixie, and I hope it is where you are. I saw a photo of fresh snow somewhere way out West, not sure where. My tomato plants would not like that, and neither would I.

One day a couple of weeks ago, my best friend, Johnnie, (his Mom wanted a girl) and I went to the range. He followed me in his vehicle after I unlocked the gate. When I reached the top of the hill, I saw turkeys in the grass field to my left. A gobbler and hen were doing what critters do this time of year. I thought that mating season for turkeys was over in our area, but obviously it's not.

A few minutes later as we were setting up, we heard coyotes barking. They had to be really close for us to hear them, as we both are about deaf.

Johnnie had a new Glock 43x in 9mm that he hadn't shot yet, and I got to try it out. The trigger sure felt strange, at least to me.

I shot some 9mm, but more .22LR's, in my Ruger Mk II's and my old Marlin rifle. You would think I'd have trigger control figured out by now, but my best 7 shot, 25 yard group still measured 7/16".
Much room for improvement. The wind was blowing about 10 mph, so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :-)

Keep us in prayer this next week, doctor's appointments and lab work all but one day. At least I have a jam scheduled for Thursday night.

Take care my friends, and have a blessed day,

Leon

Have blessed day Leon , I took couple vacation days last week and went to outdoor range. Shot my M&P AR and 586 the next day shot M&P Shield and 686 snub . I did terrible with long barrel 586 at 25 yards plan to zero it in at indoor range. My allergies are tearing me up staying indoors today may attend evening church service

Good Sabbath Leon,

Getting very warm here. Should be near 100° this coming week. Going to have to hang up my black wool-felt hat and get out the straw summer hat. My youngest son gave me a nice hat rack for Christmas. I liked it so much, I purchased a second one.

We had a great 70 acre walk this morning. Looks like the silver fox got the Canada goslings. We saw the parents near a pile of feathers at the pond. No babies to be found.

I shot the old Anchutz rifle at our Retired Old Persons 100 yard .22 bench match last week. To my pleasant surprise, I came in first place on the first leg and second place overall. It is great fun and quite a challenge.

Cool and cloudy, rain on the way. I won't have to water the garden. A blessed Sunday.

I'll be bringing my oldest granddaughters through Al., Ga., NC., and TN. for a few days this week to do some mountain stuff. Looks like the weather is going to be nice. Ya'll got plenty of gasoline?

I haven't had any problem getting gas and my regular place, and haven't heard of any problems around here.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Good afternoon. It's a warm day here in the Gettysburg area. We must be getting an early start on summer. I got to watch the Cleveland Indians yesterday afternoon and I'm watching the Pirates game right now. I checked in this morning with my aunt and uncle who live 4 blocks away and everybody is doing well today. I spent some time last week at the indoor range above Harrisburg to see where my primary target .22 was shooting. I found that I had the sight way out of line, probably because the dials were hard to read. But now I think I have the sight dialed in so I'll see if I do better at the next .22 league match. Good thing I've been buying .22 shells over the years so I can practice and compete this year. I'm just glad my health issues seem to have been squared away and that I had a good week. Everybody take care of yourselves and enjoy the day.

A little over 5/8" at 100 yards? No wonder you got first place!
