I noticed their was a thread about Rogers Plastic Grips. I recently purchased a m66 4" barrel that had a set of safariland plastic grips. I love them. Are the Rogers and Safariland grips the same? The grips I have are sq. butt, were any available in rnd. butt? Where can I find more of these grips? I don't think they are produced anymore. Does anyone know someone you can make these grips in wood? Thanks folks.

I recently picked up a K38 and a 67. The 67 had those Safariland plastic finger grooved grips. Kind of slick so I put a could wraps of cohesive bandage wrap (that various colored stretchy bandage wrap) on it. Felt a lot better.

Rogers made them with the Safariland medallion in them, under contract from Safariland so they could offer grips to attract PD sales, since the holsters and belts were so popular.

I have a set of the black ones, definitely came off an ex-cop gun since it has seat belt rash and the right grip is all dinged up. They look perfect on a holster worn trade-in 64.

I have been searching high and low for the fake wood pattern ones, they are harder to find.

If I'm not mistaken, and I might be, I believe Safariland bought the design and manufacturing rights from Rogers, for the grips and the line of holsters he was making at the time. I used to buy a lot of stuff from Rogers back in the day and my favorite was an open top paddle holster design for a 1911. I really liked his designs, which were basically a form fitted plastic holster with a leather liner. Apparently Safariland liked them too!
