Just wondering if anyone has a safe they have disguised. I have a large one which I would love to make it look like a cabinet but really have no idea of how to start on it. Any ideas?? Pics would help me. Thanks

I had a closet sized to fit the safe when I built my house, but it was more to free up floor space in my reloading room than to hide the safe. The safe is still out for easier access.

I know what you're thinking about though, and considered the same thing myself. I just wouldn't have had the floor space for such a large piece of furniture.

I have seen Pop Machines that have been turned into gun safes but I think the best ones are the ones behind fake wall panels as They dont stand out.

Steve912, that may work but you'd still have to look at it daily. It'd give you nightmares.

True, but anyone who liked them probably would have no interest in the contents of a gun safe. :D

Apologies to Hemi!

I'd say the first order is to keep the safe out of 'casual' sight. Could it be tucked into a closet of an unused bedroom/den? That would keep it out of sight for visiting strangers. Changing out a closet
knob to a locking knob can keep youngsters away, too, and a more confined surrounding could make it
harder to attack the safe/cabinet with "unskilled labor" blunt force tools.

I suppose I'll just use the Hillary and trump posters I have, no one would suspect a thing.
